Aromatherapy when broken down into two words is derived as 'Aroma' which is fragrance and smell, and 'Therapy' meaning treatment. It is the systemic use of volatile plant oils, known as essential oils, for the treatment or prevention of diseases. It is also designed to treat the whole person by assisting the body's natural ability to balance, regulate, heal and maintain itself. Whilst bodyworks can target areas of inflammation, tension and improve circulation, the added inhalation of the essential oils can trigger emotional and/or physical responses.
In addition to the hands-on therapies, I provide clients the opportunity to have a bespoke aromatherapy product to take home and assist further with their needs. The benefit of having your own tailor-made essential oil blend can provide positive short and long term effects to your health and wellbeing. Essential oils can provide relief for stress and anxiety, help improve sleep and energy levels, provide concentration and allow you to be more mindful and reconnect with yourself emotionally and physically.
A consultation will first take place, to assess your needs and to ensure there are no contraindications to any potential essential oils that may be used.
We then agree on what type of product you wish to have and the therapeutic benefits you wish to receive from the product.
Working with you, I come up with a selection of blends that suit your needs best, and a decision is made on which scent you prefer.
The product is made and sent to you to use with clear instructions and safety notes.
I will always aim to contact you a few days after using the product to gather your feedback.

They must never be used undiluted on the skin or taken internally. For those with sensitive or allergy prone skin, are pregnant or breastfeed or have a medical condition consult your healthcare professional before using essential oils. Keep out of reach of children and avoid contact with sensitive areas such as eyes. Some essential oils are phototoxic when applied topically, which means you should wait 12 hours before exposing skin to strong UV light or sunlight. Essential oils have natural occurring allergens.
